GTA successfully conducted an orientation for veterinarians to support the implementation of the project “Evaluating Biosecurity Measures and Farmer Behavioral Change Strategy to Mitigate Antimicrobial Resistance and Climate Impacts in Poultry Farms in Bagmati Province, Nepal,” with financial and technical support from The International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions (ICARS).
Held in March 2026, the orientation provided practical guidance and technical insights for veterinarians who will lead field-level interventions. The interactive sessions focused on strengthening implementation strategies to ensure effective project delivery.
Through this initiative, trained veterinarians will support interventions across 288 poultry farms in six districts of Bagmati Province, promoting improved biosecurity practices, rational antimicrobial use, and climate-resilient poultry farming.
